In the meantime, I’d done some research on Ilia and learned that it is a woman-owned brand that was founded by Sasha Plavsic and her brother Zac in Vancouver. As a kid, Zac was plagued by asthma and allergies so severe that doctors said he’d never even be able to play sports. Their mother, apparently, wouldn’t accept that answer and administered homeopathic remedies that led to Zac’s healing — so much so that he ended up competing in the Olympics in sailing (!) Part of the journey was founding a co-op with several other local families to provide organic food as it wasn’t widely available in stores at that time.  Scent SPF 40 means that if your skin burns within five minutes of sun exposure, Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 will offer you 40X that time in the sun before burning. 40 x 5 minutes = 3+ hours in the sun without burning. To reapply protection, we suggest using the Radiant Translucent Powder SPF 20 instead of layering the Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40.

Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40 Since it's a skin-care-makeup hybrid and so lightweight, I feel good about wearing it under a mask. I also love that it has SPF 40, so it's one less thing to worry about before I have my morning coffee.
