Samaya Ayurvedic Skincare What Dosha Are You?

Samaya Skincare have created an Ayurvedic range which creates harmony between mind, body and soul. This skincare isn’t just about your radiance and anti-ageing, it is about your health and wellbeing alongside being stress free to achieve younger looking skin. Samaya have created a dosha type so you get the best blend to suit your skin type, all you need to do is complete the online survey to see what type you are.

I took the online survey and discovered I am the pitta dosha which is described below along with the other two types:

Pitta

Well-proportioned and compact build, with a focused mind and a love of order. Confident and passionate, enjoying challenges. Prone to anger and impatience when out of balance. Benefits from gentle skincare as skin can be sensitive and irritable, susceptible to wrinkles, sunburn and inflammation.

Jasmine flower extract which helps relieve stress/anxiety with neem oil healing the skin irritation, the saffron extract is fantastic for skin toning, pigmentation and improving natural radiance.

Vata

Energetic and creative in balance, but worried, tired and indecisive when out of balance. Often of slender build and suffers from cold hands and feet. Tends to have delicate dry skin and hair, which may need extra moisturising and nourishment to keep it glowing and healthy.

This contains Rose flower extract, rose geranium, tulsi oil, turmeric root to help rejuvenate the skin stopping any dry irritation while the oil helps balance with the root oil heals the skin barrier.

Kapha

Laidback and easy-going with a stable, steady energy level. Often has a strong physical frame but can be lethargic or apathetic if out of balance. Takes a relaxed, reasonable approach to life and can be compassionate, gentle and kind. Skin is usually thick and pale, can be radiant and glowing, but with clogged pores or excess oil when out of balance.

Sandalwood oil keeps rough skin smooth while vetivers has soothing and healing properties while also balancing the oil in your skin, frankincense is cleansing for the mind and body.

My Thoughts On The Pitta Dosha Range.

I have been using this face cream for a few weeks…with good results, my skin looks brighter with less inflammation of spots on my chin area. The dark circles around my eyes have improved and I feel more confident in going outside with no makeup on, I still have lines around my eyes and forehead but I’m not expecting them to disappear (although it would be nice!) overnight and it will take time too improve these. I have been using the cream day and night…you only need to use small amount as the coverage is great, one squirt from the 50ml bottle and that is enough for my face and neck.

The bottle arrived in gorgeous packaging and once opened there is a thin glass pump bottle full of the anti-ageing cream, this just screams high end so I had high hopes of this working. I would recommend giving this cream a try but make sure you take the online survey first…if you have done this what dosha are you?

Samaya also have a hydrating cleanser and anti-ageing treatment oil in all the dosha ranges to complement this daily anti-ageing cream. The amazing cleanser in the same dosha so this combined with the facial cream is working wonders on my skin, they complement each other so well that you do not need to use any other range and my chin spots are kept at bay. This cleanser gives your skin hydration while cleansing and purifying the skin, containing Jasmine, Neem, Lotus, Turmeric, Saffron, Shatavari and Gotu Kola, this cleanser is soft on your skin while helping to remove make-up leaving your skin radiant.

I personally feel that this is now one of my favourite go to cleansers that are soft on your skin while working very well, if you are looking for a good range of skincare then I would recommend this cleanser with the matching cream.

This facial oil is in the same dosha that works for me and it is a blend of Ayurvedic botanicals which are clinically proven active anti-ageing ingredients, this powerful treatment oil targets the signs of skin-ageing, visibly reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

Ingredients contained in the oil are: Jasmine, Neem, Lotus, Turmeric, Saffron, Shatavari and Gotu Kola while being free from parabens, sulphates etc..

I started to use this a few weeks ago, I apply this after I have used the cleanser, the oil soaks into my skin really well and straight away nourishes any dry areas and irritation like my chin acne. I use moisturising cream sometimes after using the oil but other days I just leave the oil to do it’s thing. I have enjoyed using this and have seen a difference in my skin being softer with less dry areas on my face and my hormonal spots clear up a lot quicker then they used to.

You can purchase this oil here as well as all the other range…but don’t forget to take your questionnaire to find your dosha.
