My Little Box “No Filter” – March 2017

My Little Box is a fabulous Parisian style monthly subscription box that contains some lifestyle products alongside beauty products from their own in-house beauty store My Little Beauty. The box is themed every month with this month being “no filter”, you get 5/6 items inside the box which is great value for money.

My Little Box is £14.95 per month with p&p and your themed box will be dispatched at the start of each month, sometimes the products arrive in a large wash bag, canvas bag or a decorated themed box which is a nice touch.

What is inside the March bag:

*SPOILERS*

Calvin Klein Deep Euphoria Perfume – I found this item a little puzzling as I had seen pictures of this box before I received mine and people had what looked like a full size bottle of this perfume while others had a small sample or received a completely different product all together! I loved the smell of this perfume which was in a roll top tiny bottle so was very easy to use. Verdict 7/10.

Smartphone Ring – This is such a cool little idea that I never heard of before, you peel of a sticky back to this holder and place it on the back of your smartphone to put your finger through so you don’t drop your phone when taking photos. I personally won’t be using this but I know some people would love this kind of thing. Verdict 4/10.

Make Up Brush – The Brush was the first thing I opened as I love brushes, this one is quite a short handle but the brush is very soft, I use this for a bit of blush on my cheeks and it works really well. No bristle loss as of yet and it cleans really well, I’m very pleased with this brush which is made from their in house beauty range called My Little Beauty. Verdict 9/10.

Notebook – Cute handy little notebook has tips in the front and then section for your own personal notes, I won’t be using this but I think it may suit a teen who is starting to play around with makeup. It is a well made notebook so not a cheap quality. Verdict 5/10.

Nude Nail Polish – I love nude pinky coloured nails for an everyday colour, they suit me fine as I’m prone to a lot of chipping despite using top coats. I don’t have the best nails but this colour gives a nice shine which is what you want for spring. Verdict 10/10.

Laura Mercier Primer – I heard a lot about this primer so was excited to try it, it is a white cream that you apply to your face before applying foundation. I personally did not like this product at all, I much prefer my benefit primer which for my skin type has better coverage and makes my foundation flawless. It is a shame that this primer wasn’t great for me but I know others who swear by this. Verdict 5/10.

I personally didn’t love this first month back after cancelling back in September, I feel this bag was more for the teens and less for women which is a shame. The April box will be arriving soon so fingers crossed that the edit will be a bit more suitable. This review is late due to a missing item which has now been resolved. If you would like to subscribe you can do that at the My Little Box website.
