Vertue Box – December 2016

Vertue box is a clean, green and cruelty-free health and beauty subscription box that has been set up by a former makeup artist, who after being diagnosed with an auto-immune disorder, started to lead a healthier, greener lifestyle that we could all benefit from. They choose the most ethical and natural brands without forgetting the packaging also.

You can sign up for a monthly or a longer bi-monthly mini box subscription at £18 per month which contains 3-5 products or you can select the bi-monthly original at £30 per month with 5-7 products inside each month with choice again for a longer subscription.

So what is inside the December Box

Madara Micellar Water – I love micellar water is great for wiping the days dirt and makeup off while leaving your skin cleansed and fresh. I personally have noticed I have less blemishes and spots on my chin so I will be using this type of water in the future. Micellar water is also great value for money so you can rest assured your getting a good product for a great price. Verdict 10/10.

Madara Exfoliating Scrub – I love this oil to milk formula that really scrubs your skin clean while being gentle at the same time, easy to get the right amount from the bottle and it goes along way on your face. I personally love the milky texture on my face and it feels silky smooth after. I would highly recommend trying this. Verdict 9/10.

Madara Time Miracle Eye & Day Creams – Im not a huge fan of samples in beauty boxes but samples are great ways of trying some of the product before purchasing a full size. The sample products felt nice on my skin but its not enough to see any results but based on soft skin I would love to try the full sizes for myself. Verdict 6/10.

Au Naturale Eyeshadow – I have never tried powder eyeshadow before and you can wear this dry or wet! I haven’t tried this yet but I will be doing a tester day of new makeup soon. If anyone has any tips for using powder eyeshadow then please leave comments.

Nailberry Nail Polish – Love black nail polish but I am not very good at applying it, this polish however stays on well especially when using a top coat after 2 coats of the polish its pretty much as hard as nails. I love the glossy high end look the polish gives. Verdict 9/10.

Wild Nutrition Vitamin D – Im not normally a fan of vitamin capsules as I forget to take them therefore I don’t see any effects. For the new year I am starting a health kick so I decided to try these for extra energy, I have only started these earlier this week so have not seen any full effects yet but I will do doing a separate review on these later in the month.

I have enjoyed my first Vertue box and have been very happy to be introduced to some brands I haven’t tried yet. This is a great box packed full with lovely products, I love that there is a questionnaire on the website asking you about your hair, skin and fragrance type so you can rest assured that the box you receive will be tailored for your needs. Vertue also have an online shop so you can purchase more of the products that you have enjoyed from the boxes you have recieved HERE.
